1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 can pineapple rings
1 1/2 cup sifted flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/4 cup powdered milk
1/4 cup shortening
2/3 cup pineapple juice (reserved from pineapple rings)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Melt butter & brown sugar in bottom of cake pan and lay canned pineapple rings on top (save the juice).
3. Mix together all the remaining ingredients and pour batter over the rings.
4. Place on low rack in oven and bake for 45 - 55 min; check for doneness with toothpick.
