Petits Pois 1/4 cup water 1/2 head iceberg lettuce, coarsely shredded 3 green onions, cut into 2 inch lengths handful of parsley, chopped 1 pound peas (frozen or fresh) 1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick) salt pepper 1. Add water to large pot, layer in lettuce, green onions, parsley, and peas, ending with butter on top. 2. Bring to a boil, shaking the pot a few times. 3. Lower heat and cook for 5 more minutes--do not overcook. Remove from heat, mix and season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve immediately. |
