Friday, November 26th, 2004 Jook It’s an annual tradition to go back over to my uncle’s the day after Thanksgiving for jook—which is a Chinese rice porridge made with the left over turkey and carcass. It was delicious!
My mom made turkey jook too!!! :) She doesn’t like me putting soy sauce in mine because she says it makes it dark. We didn’t have green onions, but we had cilantro. :)
that’s so funny about the soy sauce! i’ve never tried cilantro in jook, but it sounds great. i’m going to check that out!
