My fourth Hostess Project article is now up at Saucy!
It was a lovely party at the Dunn Gardens in North Seattle, complete with trout rillettes, shrimp in endive and halibut cheeks in a tarragon beurre blanc:

Megan,
I want to co-host! And co-cook!
Actually, I’ve done a few such parties where a cooking friend and I would do a meal. I also knew some folks many years ago who had a dinner club. They would get together at someone’s house once a month and everyone would bring something—which sounds like a pot luck except that whoever was playing host would organize contributions so that someone provided an appetizer, someone else a first course, and so on. Sadly I never got to join the group except as a guest a couple of times.
Yum! That’s all I can say! Yum! I’ll be dreaming of the dinner tonight! :-)

Kevin, too bad you’re not in Seattle! Actually I’m planning a virtual dinner party for the end of July. Stay tuned for details!
P.S. Your Braciole looks AMAZING!
Thanks B! It was quite a success!
Megan,

Consider me tuned.

All it takes is nine months of pondering. It really was good though.
I just want to say how lovely the photograph is. Beautiful.
the image is wonderful… i am back at the garden when i look at it… the dinner was superb… thank you for making the evening happen….
Thanks Shuna! We don’t get much snow here in Seattle, so that’s our equivalent; wet footprints in the grass.
P.S. I want to try your 50/50 duck and bacon biscuits!!!
Thanks J, I’m glad you had a good time!
