My latest Seattlest restaurant post is now up: Seven Courses of Beef at Tamarind Tree
A dinning adventure involving over-the-top bad service, a newbie waitress and many courses of delicious, delicious beef.

Hi Meg. What a fabulous review! I love the things you write for Seattlest. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop—was it really $18.95 for two? What a steal! I must try it when we come to town.
hehe, I also loved the review! And the food sounded very nice—the imgaery of the “Steamed Beef Patty” scared me a bit!
:*)
We recently went to Tamarind and were so disgusted with the service … the food, fine, but really, there’s too little time to be sitting there with so much just as good food to be had elsewhere!!
Love your review – thanks for writing! :)
The line – “Finally we realized this was his food bliss face.”, had my lauging out loud. Perfecto!
As for the 7 courses of beef, I take my hat off to you. It sounds so tasty!
This is just awesome. I really hate coming here. Just reading I gain pounds ha. Yummm!!!. I do actually love it here. What an awesome place.
Oh my god! I just did a post about caul fat, and then I read your review! How funny. Caul fat is a miracle food!
Conny,
Yes, it really was only $18.95… and delish!
Thanks Ben!
Hey Katy,
Yeah, the service was atrocious, but on my first visit it was exceptional. I feel like I should give it one more try and see how it goes…
Thanks Saffron! Congrats on your Yahoo pick!
Hee hee! Thanks Shyloh!
Cindy,
That’s so funny! Great minds…
That lamb looks freaking amazing. All the stuff you’re making looks amazing. Are you in heaven? Any chance you can share that lamb recipe??!
omigawd! I was early on the Tree’s love (a month after they opened!) and the service was better then! I SO LOVED THE REVIEW, IT HAD ME LAUGHING OUT LOUD! And yes, the 7 Courses Beef is a must and a deal and WTF…$18.95. I once went 2x to TTree in a week!
thanks again…were you at Malay Satay Hut last night M 8.29??
Thanks KVZ! I’m glad to hear there are still Tamarind Tree fans, despite the bad service. I’m holding out hope that they will improve in that area.
So you think you had an IHEARTBACON sighting? Ha ha. Sorry, it wasn’t me.
Every time I see someone taking a picture of food I wonder if they’re a blogger incognito…
